We are excited to share that a new bell system has been installed at CCS, thanks to XT Solutions! For our junior high students, this update means bells will now signal both the start and dismissal of each class period. In addition, digital clocks have been installed in every classroom and hallway to help students easily keep track of time. As we approach third quarter, we would like to remind junior high students and parents of our expectations regarding timeliness to class. Students who arrive after the bell signaling the start of a class period will be considered tardy and will be asked to sign in with their teacher for that period. After three tardies in a quarter, an after school detention will be issued. Please note that morning sign-ins at the front office for appointments or similar reasons are excluded from this policy. For additional details regarding late arrival to school, please refer to the Student Handbook under the “Tardy Policy” section. Thank you for your support in helping our students be on time and ready to learn!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As Christmas break winds down, I wanted to send a friendly reminder about PE shoe expectations. Students must wear tennis shoes (athletic sneakers) for all PE classes, both indoors and outdoors. Students are NOT to wear their inside PE shoes outside.

For safety reasons, boots, slides, sandals, Crocs, or any open-toed or non-athletic shoes are not permitted during PE activities. Proper tennis shoes help prevent injuries and allow students to participate fully. If students do not have a pair of shoes for inside or outside, they may borrow a pair from me, and if I do not have their size, I will find or purchase a pair of that size.

Thank you for your support in helping our students stay safe and ready to learn. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Ms. Sligar
